Christmas HOPE - Day 3

Romans 5:1-2-"And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us."

So many seasons of life come and go. Often times it can "feel" like we've painted ourselves into a corner. No where to turn. Sometimes.

This passage gives me so much hope because I personally have been painted in corners. I've felt the worthlessness, loneliness, helpless. How about you? I've even felt this way about others that I'm close to. I ask how can that be happening to them? Reality would suggest that there's a million problems - but I don't believe that life is all about trying to manage problems and constantly seeking solutions. It's about what our passage of today says - God's love.

One day I was talking with my dad (who's now in heaven) and he was just poured out to me how much he would give up for me. That day I typically don't share because it's reserved just for me. But this Christmas I wanted to give it to you. My earthly, biological dad said he'd give up so much for me. And our heavenly Father feels the same way, even that much more. He loves you and pours it out on you!

Think of it like drinking out of a garden hose. That would be your earthly parents love for you. God's love is like Niagara falls. That's intense! Merry Christmas - Jesus loves you
